I'm a soon-to-be-middle-aged lone parent and I work voluntarily for a Community Development Trust covering 3 neighbouring villages. I'm here on Ned thanks to Facebook discussions that have sparked my interest in microfinance and community-centric economies, and in writing educational materials/stories on such topics for schoolchildren. I'm not an economist (though I'm learning!), I'm a writer by inclination and have recently made my first forays into the world of journalism. I've studied linguistics at degree level, which might give you an indication of how I think ;)or maybe not.

Update for August - No sign of a story, that was a whim that may return one day, I don't know, perhaps I'm easily distracted but there's so much to learn from surfing the Ned ;)

Update for September - Currently channeling much of my online energies into promoting the cause of the Kampala Junior Team - hopefully they'll get as much out of it (international supporters and big name sponsors is what I'm aiming for for them) as I do!
